The Cleanest Beach in the World
Hawaii is known around the world as paradise. With crystal clear waters, baby blue skies at a constant cool 80 degrees it’s no wonder everyone wants a taste. But there’s an issue, with the increase of tourism comes an increase of pollution. Unfortunately, the paradise state’s economy is driven by tourism. The people of Hawaii feel helpless and defeated. In Hawaii, it’s taught to Malama ka aina which translate to respect the land; take care of the land, including the waters. Cleanest Beach in the World is a corporate sponsorship and community outreach project. A project proposal to get Hawaiian Airlines and Sustainable Coastlines to partner up and clean up the dirtiest beach in Hawaii, Ala Moana and turn it around to become the Cleanest Beach in the World.
